May-June News 2012
In May we saw some tremendous blessings in our youth group. Two young men received the Lord as their personal Savior, and both have become actively involved in serving on the youth worship team. Mijail is our newest guitar player and David is our only male backup singer. It is good to see fruit from the youth ministry, especially with the young men. The youth also did a special presentation for Mother’s Day. Also in May, the Moores went to Costa Rica to renew their visas and had a good time together.
June has been a very busy month with many visitors. Don and Maria Tucker came down for three weeks and at the end rented a house in Las Brisas barrio with the hope of starting a ministry over there. Please keep them in your prayers as we plan to work closely with them. Don will return in September to get things started.
Dave and Tamra Bryant also came up from San Juan del Sur to host the Kids Ablaze team from North Carolina. We ministered in La Chureca and visited an orphanage.
Also in June, John Patton arrived from Melbourne Florida to help out for three months. He has been working with English classes in the school as well as completing many needed repairs at the church and school. John also repaired the door at Cindy’s house. That simple project turned into a major repair.
A young man named Jason Luna came down for the summer and has been a blessing with worship and help at the school; and towards the end of the month, CC Chelmsford of Massachusetts sent Joe Pirrello with a team that has been a huge blessing repairing some malfunctioning a/c units at the school. They put up a fence for Ana Maria and Carla Patricia who now live in the new housing project Guadalupe, next to La Chureca. Dot Pirrello will remain with us to help train the teachers in the school. En mayo nos regocijamos que Mijail y David aceptaron a Jesucristo y Mijail es el nuevo guitarrista y David es cantor en el grupo de jóvenes. Los jóvenes hicieron una presentación especial para el día de las madres. Es bueno ver los frutos del ministerio de los jóvenes. La familia Moore se fue a Costa Rica para renovar sus visas y disfrutó el tiempo allá.
Junio ha sido un tiempo ocupado con muchos visitantes. Don y Maria Tucker vinieron por tres semanas y al final alquilaron una casa en Las Brisas con la meta de empezar un ministerio allá. Don regresará en Septiembre para empezar la obra. Don también ayudará a nosotros en la iglesia local. Por favor hora por Don Tucker.
David y Tamra Bryant vinieron para guiar el equipo Kids Ablaze de Carolina de Norte. Fuimos a La Chureca y a un orfanato. John Patton vino desde Melbourne Florida para ayudarnos por tres meses. A John le gusta ayudar con las clases de ingles en la escuela primaria y dar mantenimiento a los edificios. John hizo una gran reparación de la puerta en la casa de Cindy. Jason Luna vino desde California para ayudarnos por dos meses. Jason ha sido una bendición con las alabanzas y en la escuela primaria.
En la ultima semana de junio, vino un equipo dese CC Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Joe Pirrello y el equipo reparó el aire acondicionado en la escuela y construyó una cerca en la casa de Ana Maria, una viuda de setenta años y su hija enferma Carla Patricia que viven en el barrio Guadalupe. Dorotea Pirrello trabaja con los profesores de la escuela primaria hasta el 18 de julio.
